Hi,
This is me! I’m Josiah (or Jo), I’m 26, and I live in Johnsonville, Wellington, New Zealand, with my beautiful wife. I’m a wedding photographer and filmmaker, but you know that about me by now. I have a bachelor of design, majoring in photography, with honours and have been working in the wedding industry for around 6 years now.
I’m a lover of coffee, people, my Wife, music and running. My approach to shooting is laid back and documentary, and I well prefer candid, authentic moments to posed ones! Starts at $3500 for my most basic package and goes up to $5000 for full-day coverage.

Elopements are always different so these are quoted according to your needs!
Engagement Sessions
$600
Engagement sessions last approximately 1 hour. This is such a fantastic opportunity for us to meet and get you comfortable in front of the camera!
Analogue/Film photography
$130 per roll (24-36 frames)
Do you want some beautiful film photographs to ice the cake? Film is an optional extra with all shoots!
All of these packages include me as your photographer, and I also love to help couples with planning their days. I’ve been lucky enough to shoot a fair few weddings, and I’d love to offer my two cents worth.
Wedding Day Coverage

Your wedding day goes by in the blink of an eye, and recording your vows, or speeches is a beautiful way of holding onto the precious words spoken for years to come.
All of these packages include me as your filmmaker, and I also love to help couples with planning their days. I’ve been lucky enough to shoot a fair few weddings, and I’d love to offer my two cents worth. Film packages also include music licensing.

I can absolutely offer this as an option for you! The way I make this work is by roping in a trusted associate shooter to either photograph or video the wedding with me, then I edit both with my own style and flair.

I sure do, all over New Zealand in fact. I'm based in Wellington, but have worked from Christchurch to Whanganui to Auckland and regularly travel to these places. Get in touch for other locations (I'm always open to going further abroad as well).

This totally depends on the package you book, but typically I deliver 100-150 photos per hour that I'm shooting.

I use a music licensing site called Musicbed for all of the music in my videos. They have an amazing range of music from real musicians (Stephen Day is one of my favourites on there). I send you through a playlist of songs to choose from, our you're welcome to browse through and find your own song.

This depends on your timeline, which I am happy to work out with you guys so we can be as efficient as possible. I can also make more custom packages if you need something a little more specific for your day.

I'm a Canon shooter through and through, currently rocking an R5 and a couple of older bodies. For lenses, I spend most of my day shooting a 35mm 1.4 (If I could marry a lens this would be it) but also have a couple of other primes for a little more reach.

Of course that's okay, it's my job to make sure you guys are comfortable and relaxed so we can make beautiful photos together. 90% of the couples you see on my site have said this exact thing to me, and I've never had one wedding where awkwardness is an issue. If you still are worried about this, an engagement shoot is an amazing way to get to know each other and get comfy in front of the camera.
